Genome sequencing of an ancient Egyptian

Using cutting age technology of DNA extraction, scientists were able to complete the sequencing of the genome of an ancient bronze age Egyptian. They discovered that their DNA was 80% North African and 20% Mesopotanian (Fertile Crescent), thus confirming that the Middle East was the melting pot of humanity of the migration from the first humans out of Africa. The study also confirms earlier archeological findings. The researchers believe that the human was a potter and lived to a ripe old age for the times - 40 to 60 years, equivalent to today's 80 years of age. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-025-09195-5
