James Webb Space Telescope finds Methyl cation in space: one step closer to the discovery of the origins of life

For the first time ever, scientists have detected methyl cation in space. Methyl cation is a precursor of more complex chemical substances. This discovery is indicative of how life and DNA on earth could have originated.
