All humans, no matter from which continent they come from and irrespective of their phenotype (the observable characteristics of a person such as skin, hair or eye colour for example that appeared for evolutionary reasons) share 99.9 percent of their genetic code. This tremendous similarity notwithstanding, societies have used race, loosely based on an individual's phenotype, to justify discrimination and domination and worse of one group of people over another., Race is a social construct and has absolutely no basis or justification in genetics.
